Voyage De La Vie

Hier, j'ai regardé {Voyage de la Vie} de Cirque du Soleil avec Nobelle, SK et Deryk (:
“Voyage de la Vie” or the “Journey of Life” is a story of a boy’s metaphoric journey, or a rite of passage before he becomes an adult.
Enter the world of the mysterious Lantern Keeper, the charming Crystal Cat and the mesmerizing Diva along with extraordinary inhabitants. Explore the journey of the boy on an adventurous search to discover his destiny. An unforgettable experience of magnificent sets, glamorous costumes and amazing circus feats awaits…
A circus theatre spectacular, the story is told through song and dance, combining with the energy, physicality and athleticism of circus arts, resulting in a contemporary cutting edge performance art form which fully engages the senses and keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. The first circus theatre spectacular ever to be created in Singapore, it presents an international cast of circus stars brought together from 16 countries.

Jiawei was supposed to come originally but her mom wanted her to study so in the end Deryk went in her place.

While SK and Nobelle rushed to Sentosa on sky train to redeem the tickets, me and Deryk took a nice stroll across the bridge (: it was my first time walking across so I really relished in the scenery and there was actually a café right in the middle of the bridge! It must be so romantic to sit in front of the sea and enjoy dinner ♥

Then we met them while they were nearing the front of the queue. So rare to see all of us dressed up. Nobelle wore a skirt with a denim top and looked chio as usual :3 Deryk was nice, so was SK, although we kept saying he looked like a waiter in his vest hehe x:

After we bought the tickets we went for dinner. There was this slight confusion about buying dinner and going to the toilet but it got over fast. Throughout dinner we were talking about {The Five Love Languages} and how we can help a certain someone by analysing someone else ♥ ♥

Then was the show! :D I know it's like ending this week so yayee I finally got to watch it! \(^_^)/ and it came at $27 for a Cat 4 seat which was not too bad because the theatre was not that big. I think if I had paid the original price it would not have been too worth it.

It was my first time at the Festive Grand, and I've got to say that it is really a pretty theatre. It was grand, and had a huge stage. There were two large golden dragons around the curtains which is really the Singapore style, to always emphasise on our 中西合并.

I didn't really understand the plot during the show, it was like watching Alice in Wonderland live on stage. Just keep changing the setting and doing 无厘头 things and then move on. The show's dances were also not synchronised very well. It totally cannot be compared with how the Chinese dancers can make sure they can do the exact same move at the exact same time. Or the 千手观音.

But anw this was meant to be an acrobatics act. And it really was. Their acrobatics is so good nothing else matters. I'm totally mesmerised ♥ and their costumes are sooo pretty! Especially when I got to see one of those trapeze people up close :3

I really loved the juggling, and the shooting, and the flying in the air by the swinging girl made my heart stop beating. That was sooo scary. But seriously wushu?! They tried to do some 棍 and 刀 performance. I thought gymnasts we supposed to have strong arms, but they could not even hold the 棍 in place. The 棍法 is really just 一团乱 ._.

But overall, great show! :D especially during curtain call then did I realise the production was only actually that small. For that few crew members to run the whole show, they really are multi-talented. Though original price for the ticket of $48 may not be so worth it.

Then camwhore with SK asking tourists to take photos for us =.= Photos with Deryk!

Last thing, results are out and I feel like dying. Lucky for clique happy foods ♥
