太乖还是太坏?

Disclaimer: Slightly biased, especially coming from someone who is an advocate of volunteerism and truly believes in the importance of social responsibility in everyone. Anw, since I am so pissed, feel free to share this post (: Here's the permalink; http://ohsosweetandprettyme.blogspot.com/2012/09/blog-post.html
Bishan Library. 12noon. Raffles Institution boys. Notice the cans sitting on the floor next to them full of stickers? (and nice me blurred out their faces because Wu Ai requested :D)

I think flag day usually starts at noontime. So it can't be that they have been standing on their feet asking for donations the entire day alr and wanted a rest. So does that mean that since the start of flag day they have been sitting there? O:

Idk if I should say that they are really hardworking. But WTH SERIOUSLY?! When I did flag day I really stood on my feet the entire day, taking the initiative to ask for donations. I walked the whole of Orchard Road under the hot sun and got rejected so many times. How can these people get CIP hours for doing nothing at all?! Is this even fair? Not only is it unfair to me, it is unfair to all those who truly put in the effort for this charity event. Why should they share their credits and the CIP hours they worked for with a few people who are only concerned for their own grades and not about society at large?

And are they like trying to tarnish their school's image or something? At least hide the cans in their bags so no one will know about their misconduct. This is an extremely good example of 掩耳盗铃.

So what is a school which top the charts in academics and yet their students do not have basic values like responsibility? If they had decided to turn up for flag day, they should just see it through. Even if it was a compulsory activity, those who did not want to do it could always use the ultimate weapon called a {parent's letter} and get out of it. But since they chose to go, I don't think this is the kind of thing they should be doing. Bad attitude.

I live relatively near RI, so I have neighbours studying there, and I have other friends in there too. I think this is a really unfair representation of the nice people I know. But it is even more unfair to the hundreds more people who did their best to give back to society.

RI, please show me something worth commending.
